I create a vision board at the beginning of every year.
5 WAYS TO CHANGE WITH THE POWER OF VISION
- Expand Your Heart & Mind. Dream big. Imagine big. Feel big. If there were no limitations, what would be your ideal life? Your ideal daily experiences? If you find yourself thinking, ‘that will never happen,’ I guarantee it never will which lends to the next bullet of…
- Increase Your Joy Tolerance. There is unfortunate praise for a high pain tolerance. Quite ridiculous really. Increase your joy tolerance instead. Allow your vision to come to life by giving yourself permission to enjoy what you enjoy. Do 3 practices, no matter how small, each week that cultivate an experience or trait that is part of your vision.
- Get Sensory. Thinking doesn’t generate near as much change as experiencing. What colors and images represent your vision? What textures, tastes, and sounds? Include and experience more of those sensations in your life.
- Focus on Feeling, Not Things. Once you’ve imagined your ultimate vision, name what feeling or trait you are experiencing in the vision. For example, if part of your vision is to sell your house, what are you really looking for? You’re looking for the feeling of freedom, peace, or conclusion. Name the emotion or trait of your vision, not the material thing.
- Seal the Deal. Create something tangible that reflects your vision. This could be a vision board, a picture, a poem, a figurine, a mantra. Orient yourself to this vision everyday and open to the possibility!
What is your ultimate vision? Leave me a comment below bottom-lining your vision with three feeling words.
Have a vision board? I’d love to see it! Post the pic on the Capri Health Facebook Page.

Hi Angela,
I agree that we need a vision board as it helps us to define and focus on our hopes, goals and dreams 🙂
The Law of Attraction works, but reflects our dominant and most practiced thoughts. We can’t spend 5 minutes on a new thought and 23 hours and 55 minutes thinking the old thoughts and have anything change. A vision board will definitely help to get a positive focus all day long. I know that many people like digital vision boards, but I believe that a physical vision board will do better because it’s easier to keep it in a place where we always see it.
HI Angela,
I am so making a vision board. But I’m not sure when to do that?
I am overthinking “feeling words” which doesn’t surprise me, but this is a great exercise. I had to look up “feeling words” to make sure I wasn’t overthinking 🙁 But here are 3 feeling words I chose to summarize my “Vision”.
Passionate
Courageous
Accepting.
Looking forward to my journey.
Mary
