A proper day off
isn’t filled with
spa treatments with
cotton between your toes
a sense of forced
relaxation trying to
recuperate from what
we all too often call
regular life
A proper day off
isn’t filled with projects
or lists of chores to do
at home trying to
“catch up” on the
time missed from
taking care of the unexpected
Instead
A proper day off
has no plans at all
perhaps is even spontaneous
itself
A stake in the ground
of “fuck it”
Let me just go and
enjoy today
without having to be
someone or
do something
at all
